Magnificent Bogota

Places to visit:

Botanical gardens should be your next stop. The picturesque green grounds of botanical gardens are something that can not be missed at all costs. The entry fee is just $3,500 Colombian Pesos (approximately $1.09 USD). You can also eat a delicious meal here at reasonable prices.

Monserrate is a mountain in Bogotá and also a tourist spot filled with spots where you can get a panoramic view of the city from here. In addition, there is a church at its peak. You can either take a cable car or walk up the hill.

Things to do:

Visit the famous El Museo del Oro (gold museum), which contains a huge number of golden artifacts.

In case you are an art connoisseur, do not forget to make a trip to the Botero Museum which displays the works of Picasso, Renoir, and Matisse etc.

Since the city has many libraries as well, you certainly need to explore at least the most famous ones, such as the Virgilio Barco Library, El Tunnel, and El Tintal.

Take a tour of the traditional horse-drawn carriages to explore the city.

Shopping & Sports:

Make sure to visit La Candelaria if you are looking for some antique shopping. The city center has many clothing stores, jewelry shops, libraries, and music shops. Besides, Unicentro is another great shopping area. For sports lovers, there is the famous interior plaza Coliseo Cubierto El Campin. You can also enjoy golf, football, and horseback riding in Bogota.

Bogota Nightlife:

Bogota is famous for its exciting nightlife all over the world. You will find a large number of clubs, bars, and bars in the city. However, the most famous are Bar Venus, Disco Bar Salome Pagana and Hard Rock Cafe Bogota.

Famous Festivals:

The Ibero-American Theater Festival is one of the most famous biennial theater festivals in March or April. The August 6 Carnival of Bogota is very popular with tourists as it consists of festivals, dances, and marches. Summer Festival and Rock al Parque are the other two festivals.
